Road Haulage Association Conditions of Carriage

All services provided by Quicker Same Day Limited are carried out subject to the Road Haulage Association Conditions of Carriage 2026 (or any subsequent edition adopted by Quicker Same Day Limited), unless otherwise agreed in writing by a Director of Quicker Same Day Limited.
These Conditions apply to all quotations, bookings, contracts and transport services and take precedence over any terms and conditions issued by the Customer unless expressly agreed in writing by Quicker Same Day Limited.

Commercial Terms

Credit Accounts

Approved credit accounts are payable 30 days from the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Credit facilities may be withdrawn at any time.

Late Payment

Late payments may be subject to statutory interest and compensation under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

Waiting Time

A reasonable loading and unloading period is included depending upon the vehicle supplied.
Additional waiting time is chargeable from £25.00 + VAT per hour, or part thereof, depending upon vehicle type.

Cancellation Charges

Cancellation charges may apply where:
  • a vehicle has already been dispatched;
  • specialist equipment has been reserved;
  • significant planning has already been undertaken.

Additional Charges

Additional charges may apply for:
  • Driver’s Mate
  • Tail Lift Vehicles
  • Moffett Forklifts
  • HIAB Crane Vehicles
  • ADR
  • FORS
  • Congestion Charges
  • ULEZ / CAZ
  • Tolls
  • Ferry Crossings
  • Storage
  • Re-delivery
  • Out of Hours Services
  • Any specialist equipment requested.

Quotations

Written quotations remain valid for 30 days, unless otherwise stated.
Verbal quotations are estimates only.

Customer Responsibilities

The Customer is responsible for ensuring:
  • Goods are correctly described.
  • Goods are correctly packaged.
  • Goods are legal to transport.
  • Dangerous Goods are declared before collection.
  • Suitable loading and unloading facilities are available unless otherwise agreed.

Insurance

Quicker Same Day Limited maintains Goods in Transit and Public Liability insurance.
The Carrier’s legal liability is governed by the Road Haulage Association Conditions of Carriage 2026.
Additional cover may be available by prior written agreement before collection.

Subcontracting

Quicker Same Day Limited may subcontract all or part of any transport service to carefully selected approved carriers.

Governing Law

These Commercial Terms shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
